My first aid knowledge is pretty non-existant so I would like to do a short course. I'm planning in the next couple of years so get a couple of outdoor qualifications so it would be useful if it was a certified course that I could use for other things to.
At the moment, the BASP emergency first aid course at Glenmore lodge looks attractive (and the dates fit), but has anyone got any recommendations? It would have to be in the 2nd/3rd week in March, and ideally reasonably close to Aberdeen.
The basp one is the one usually recommended as its near to the likely scenarios for MTBing / other outdoor activities
I have no personal experience tho
The AQR guys did an outdoors based one with Peter haynes from KISS Training a couple of months back. Was pretty good - the guy is an ex-marine mountain biker, so understands the practical element of being stuck on a hillside with broken bodies.
