you still struggling with this? how big do you need them? what about buying some feeler gauges and making them out of that? failing that where in the world are you? i had a feeling you're in sheffield or near by, if so there's loads of engineering places down attercliffe there must be someone who does shim steel.
failing that what about getting in touch with the university engineering department?
failing that can the part the shim sits next to be made bigger by the amount you need? that would be easier than making a shim out of something close to onion skin.
assume you're doing the shimstack mod for the tst2 damper? try motocross tuning shops, tf tuned, mojo or loco maybe?

buy some 0.010mm sheet. Draw your washers in CAD - give them to someone with a CNC laser cutter. BUT MIND YOUR EYES FOR GODS SAKE. There are folk about that will do small orders. If you think this modding thing will catch on get some extras made and flog them.
