I may be deservedly lampooned for starting such a dull topic but I have an unwavering faith in the collective knowledge of STW.

I need some new kitchen doors as thanks to a change in the size of the fridge/freezer, the old ones don't fit.

The sizes of the current doors don't seem to match up with what I seem to find are 'standard' sizes. I have no idea if they're from Europe or just an old Ikea range (almost everything the previous owners did the the flat was the more expensive Ikea range or just very tasteful but random... no B&Q or Homebase stuff for them)

The doors are MDF or similar with a white plastic veneer. 19 mm thick. Edges have a bevel, approx 18 mm from the edge surface.

Pics below.

Any input is welcome!

You could get something custom made in wood and they spray painted to match...

Blackboard door, or some other feature. Any new door probably will not match dueto being a different batch so make a feature of it.

Yep, the top one is definitely going to be turned in to a blackboard - it currently has NZ North and South island map blackboards but I want to do the whole thing.

I could nearly cut the top door down to make the new one.. could try doing the bottom one from a plain sheet of MDF and figure out how to do a decent job of the hinge bore details...
