Going to purchase an Xbox One from the Microsoft site, but unsure what games to get as been out of the gaming loop for a bit.

I quite like the Tom Clancy stuff, and the Halo series. Is the new Halo any good?

That's probably the single most expensive way of doing it, I'd have thought. Also, there's a degree of backwards compatibility, so you might not want to throw out all your old games just yet.

The latest Assassin's Creed (Syndicate) is brilliant. Rise of the Tomb Raider, Witcher 3 for starters. Fallout 4 is well regarded, I didn't get on with it personally.

Like Cougar said you can get some decent deals from stores these days.
Plus you could trade in your 360.

Currently playing Batman: Arkham Knight. Picked it up from tesco in the 2 for £40 offer. That's good.
Doom is a great kill fest! Pretty gory.
+1 for Rise of the Tomb Raider.
Assassin's Creed - "Black flag" was excellent on 360. Don't know what Syndicate is like though.

Very tempted with some of the Assassins creed stuff, found some games on amazon for around a tenner second hand.

I like the old Hitman series, have you played the newer one?

Are you a fan of Driving games?

The new F1 game is rumoured to be very good and the new Dirt Rally Game? Well, you've really got to push it and listen to to your co-driver and make near inch perfect runs to get out on top. A little mistake can push you down the standings and make you want to throw the controller out the window. I've not played something so frustrating for ages, I love it.
