went out to the car this morning to find it covered in a fine of film of beige dust.. the pattern would indicate that it was deposited by rain..
everyone else's car in the street is the same..

Dust/sand is regularly swept up into the atmosphere before falling as rain. I'd say it shows which way the rain came from.

That filthy rain has fallen today here in Warrington too. Good job I never wash my car or I'd be rather annoyed.

I can officially tell that is sand and dust from a dust storm in north Africa! See http://t.co/274o1CmX for details.

bah.. that's not very dramatic

in my head I had already concluded that Yellowstone had awoken and taken out the Americas.. and that the apparent news blackout was to prevent panic..

Same in S. Oxon yesterday too. Had to wash the windscreen before I left work. My spotless Silver car looked awful but I visited the parents and dad kindly went over it having had to do the same to mums. I watched 🙂

Got it in Edinburgh too- doesn't look like the cool reddish saharan dust you sometimes get though, more boring regular dirt.

Well, it's long overdue for a big blow out....

That would send the world in to a bit of a state!

It's also over Wiltshire, it's this sand that's seeded "the big northern wash"

Mine was well covered in it when I went to work this morning. Dark green car, too. That's North Wilts, and it rained last night, and a little bit this morning. Bloody hot and humid this afternoon, tho'.
