I took eldest two OAB's to see early evening showing of Age of Ultron - 12a. Packed with families, including some kids clearly 7-8 years old.

Why then does the cinema show trainers for two 18 rated computer games and one 16 rated.
They also show a trailer for new MadMax film, I think as yet unrated, and another 18 film (can't remember which one).

Is it me, or is this just not really on? Cinema staff were not bothered, and said they don't choose the trailers...

There's usually a message that comes up saying trailers are appropriate for the main feature.

Were the trailers actually showing clips that were inappropriate for the main feature?

You mentioned 7 year olds- 12a means you can take kids, if you like, but it's been rated as suitable for 12 and over. Were the trailers suitable for 12 and over?

My 12 and 13 year old were 'surprised' by it...maybe I have quite sheltered kids, and I know they need to grow up at some point, but this seemed s bit too far... (This isn't exact trailer, mount gives you an idea)
