I'd heard something about a small esp pollinating them, but not quite to that level of detail.
I wonder if David Attenborough is going to inadvertently crash sales of figs anywhere the BBC airs that program!

That reminds me, telling folk that figs aren’t vegan used to be a joy. I’ve grown out of that now. And it’s not true anyway.
