Something's changed, normally it's a disaster getting about fife on an icy/snowy day.

Really? Until two days ago I had to drive on several inches of compressed snow to get to the M90.

Fife council ran out of grit two days ago - the only grit available was already loaded into the gritters. Thats why none of the cat3 roads were cleared - primary and bus routes only.
They were awaiting a shipload into rosyth docks last night which I assume arrived as they gritted our paths today - first time since 23rd we've seen a gritter in the street.
