Slightly worried we'd run the risk of 'getting lazered' by the moon if somethings a touch misaligned 😉
Is it on kickstarter?
It's nothing new.

I saw a proposal for a similar scheme a few years back. The cost was ludicrous, and happened to be the same as what is spent on oil exploration every year (or something along those lines).
We should be doing stuff like this rather than poncing about with windmills.
I'm sure I read somewhere that if you could cover an area the size of Sicily with solar panels, it would generate enough electricity for our current 'whole world' requirements.
So you could have a series of these "solar sicily's" dotted around the world and just plug them in.
Simples.
Admittedly, generating electricity on the moon and beaming it back to Earth would be much cooler, but just think of the danger! Sounds a bit too much like a Death Star for my liking!
If we want free electricity what we need is for the Illuminati to order the Bilderberg group to open up Area 51 and relase the Tesla coil plans that they've been supressing for decades.
Orbital probably makes more sense than lunar, for obvious reasons of occlusion. As well as being more cool.
