I recently picked up a TP-Link Archer D50 as they seem to come highly recommended. It's to replace a PlusNet Hub One that seems a little ropey. However, the ADSL is to synchronise and I've seen a few comments that imply that maybe I can't plug the modem/router straight into the wall port?

Plugging in the old modem/router still works, so it definitely something to do with the new one. Is there something fundamental that I've made an arse of?

Thanks

For Fibre you need the VDSL version.

That would explain that then! Same buying rule applies? Buy whatever TP-Link suits the budget?

All I can say is dont get the TD-W9980 I have one and its proving to be most unreliable 🙁 Unusual for TP-Link kit.
