Hi, anyone know if there are any ferry services running from Holyhead to Dun Laoghaire anymore? Stena says that one of its boats does but the website just says 'Dublin'. It seems most other services are to Dublin Port now.

Thanks

Don't think they do anymore. Even if look google maps doesn't show and routes out of there now, all from Dublin. Not used those routes in years and am now closer to Cairnryan so can't be certain but looks unlikely.

If you follow the links to the port maps on the Stena website, from the Holyhead-Dublin route, it shows where in Dublin it goes to, and that's Dublin Port, not Dun Laoghaire. Google will find various 3rd party sites offering ferries from Holyhead to Dun Laoghaire but when you look for details, there aren't any - either those sites are 6 years out of date or they're trying it on.

No, stopped them ages ago.

It's Dublin port or Rosslare now.

To be fair it took a long time and now the motorways are so much better it seemed a little redundant.

Driving from south west London it was a nice break in the journey; drive to Swansea, easy overnighter on the boat with dinner and a beer, off at about dawn and at the house before ten even with a traditional breakfast stop in Ballymakeery.

Even with the new roads (eagerly awaiting the macroom bypass) I still break the journey in Cardiff- driving London to Caherciveen is just too long a day for me now 🙁
