Typical ferrari attitude, can't win on equal terms, so change the terms to suit them

TBH everyone was moaning about the hard tyres - not just Ferrari.

....IIRC, didn't Hamilton do his fastest lap of the race on the hards in the last stink (though I accept he was running on vapours by then and the track was well rubbered in)?

TBH - I think Hamilton complained about the differences between the 2 compounds more than most, he certainly got the ear of the journos more

Funky Monkey you haven't a clue, clearly! I can't see anywhere in that article that Ferrari want to change the hard tyres to suit them and not others. Nothing. Tat is 100% your own inflection on it, guided by prior prejudice.

Technical regs-wise one of the big stories of the weekend was Ferrari not being allowed to use their new rear wing. Oddly, you don't mention that.

Ferrari are merely correctly pointing out that they need to understand better how to make the hard tyres work on their car. They know they need more downforce too - they're not blaming anyone but themselves for any of that.

Alonso was brilliant in both qualifying and on the soft tyres in the race.

Crying? WFT you talking about?

That start by Alonso was amazing - he just powered that car through gaps he was hoping appeared.

Alonso's start was phenomenal. One of the best starts I've ever seen in F1, in over 25 years of following the sport. It's a pity Ferrari can't give him a car that can compete properly with Red Bull and McLaren, cos having Alonso in the mix for WC would make things even more exciting. It's clear, judging by Massa's performances certainly, that Alonso is driving that car even beyond it's limits. I doubt any other driver bar perhaps Vettel and Hammo would be capable of getting the results he's had in what is clearly an inferior car.

As for 'Alonso cry'; well, that's just sheer idiocy. I can't believe how much he's bin smiling, even though he knows he can't match the top cars. Seems very relaxed in fact.

Hoping Ferrari can come good, and we can have a proper multi-way fight for the WC like last year. Otherwise, I fear Vettel will just run away with it.

One more thumbs up for Alonso - moving back to Spain, despite it costing him £50m in tax.
