Anybody else find the comments troubling, after reading Millar's book the phrases 'our Doctors' 'prepare' and 'better performance' all sound highly suspicious to me!
No, not really. I think it clearly relates to the specialist training schedule, recovery and mobility work he needs to in order to play. It's a fair point, Ferdinand can't train in the same way as the rest of the squad and this needs to be considered with England. Easier if you're playing for a club where you don't have to do as much tactical stuff and can just concentrate on preparing yourself as well as poss. England play relatively infrequently and so need to train together a lot to try and emulate the same familiarity. Ferdinand simply can't do this AND play.
