Hi all, I knocked down two old knackered sheds in new garden. Subsecuently found a massive gap rather than a fence behind it.
Looking into building a new fence to cover the gap. Probably be 2 panels, 3 fence posts. The ground will be earth/mud. I've seen some things that you basically drive into the floor that support your wooden fence posts and I've also seen wooden gravel boards too, anyone used this set up? Does it work?
Does it work?
do you mean the metal spikes? if so, not in my experience. post hole diggers and postcrete FTW.
By work I mean will it do the job? Or is concrete a lot better? It's going to be behind my new shed anyway, it's more for the boundary and to fill the gap left by old sheds.
Two sheds?
Arthur, is that you?
Vertical close boarded (ship lap) using concrete posts cemented in, lasts longest and is repairable.
Metal spikes + wooden posts are very poo.
Wooden post always fail at the bottom with rot.
That's what I thought, I was suprised to even see wooden gravel boards.
