Replacing an old RF Coax cable that goes through a wall to the outside of the house for a TV in the kitchen.
HDMI has a slim but wider block and was thinking either chopping the cable a metre from the end and solder it up or drill a bigger hole and use filler?
Anybody know an easier method?
Use a cable with mini hdmi on one end and then a female adaptor on the other side of the wall?

Hmm, might be an option with reverse terminals so no drilling as it will fit standard holes.
Thanks.
Forgot to mention I have got flood of a standard 20m hdmi cable and an old hdmi splitter for my Virgin box.
Put a HDMI socket on the wall?
Ok I've checked the current hole; it fits 2 RF cables that with a bit more drilling might be able to expand it a few mm to allow the cable through.
If I was going to start from scratch and didn't already have the hdmi cable (and to help others):
I'd use a hdmi splitter, HDMI to Ethernet box and cat 6 cables that are quite slim.
Didn't want to pay £££ for AV sender when my wifi is 5ghz and the neighbourhoods 2.4ghz interference.
surely the cheapest is a mini hdmi to hdmi cable + mini female to hdmi something, either just a converter back to standard hdmi, or another cable. they are tiny, defo will fit. Should be do-able under £10.
How long is the run to the Kitchen?
20 metres externally.
I've tested the cable and signal is great on my 25m cable using a powdered HDMI splitter.
You're right Doc, it's the cheapest but might try with I have first.
Just an update:
Took a gamble and chopped the wire 1 metre from the cable box so I didn't have to drill.
Spent 20 mins trimming the little wires and soldering.
Works fine even without a signal booster and just a simple splitter.
You can buy block connectors to save your eyes from strain when soldering.
