Sorry, but has to be bigphils 'Should I be a Special Constable?' thread - here.
I still don't think he's got a clue what was going on. 😀
Shall we tell him?
Ta for that one aracer.

Honorable mentions must go to the 'Remove one letter from a film title' thread, which had me in tears on several occaisions - here.

Loved the tune association thread - still working my way through the last of November's posts - be nice to keep it going if we can.

Sudocrem cat was a cracker, if just for the little girl's reaction and the responses from the STW massive, & anything with silly pictures of dogs and cats is always a favourite in the Spanner household.

What were yours?
Any crackers I've missed?

I quite like the way that thread turned out. Some truly tragic stories in there, but they all share a similarity in that folk got through the situations they were in. Uplifting in a strange sort of way.

Not just you phil, and no offence intended -
probably only the older folk had a chance:
Would have expected Hora to catch on:

Newer version -

If you google the lyrics, it'll make the responses much clearer. 🙂

My old man said "Foller the van,
And don't dilly dally on the way".
Off went the van wiv me 'ome packed in it,
I followed on wiv me old cock linnet.
But I dillied and dallied, dallied and I dillied
Lost me way and don't know where to roam.
Well you can't trust a special like the old time coppers
When you can't find your way 'ome.

😀

Thanks for the mention, RS - is it allowed to crack up laughing at what you wrote yourself (also some top contributions to that thread from you)? I really expected everybody to get it instantly (isn't it the first thing everybody thinks of when special constables are mentioned?), and never imagined it would be possible to string out like that!

There was that one about how people wipe their arse. Hilarious. Not looking it up though.

Think that was over a year ago though... Given that my son is now 4 and has been wiping his arse for longer than a year.
