Jingle all the way - watched it last Christmas after a friend recommended it, was surprisingly enjoyable
That and Home Alone, always home alone
The Night Before
On sky and prime at the moment
Muppets Christmas Carol
Home Alone.
Love Actually. (Sorry/not sorry)
Hardy bucks 'castletown Christmas'. Get it on Netflix while you can.

This.
And The Grinch, but don't tell the Mrs.
Two Doors Down. Or Still Game.
@llama has it </ end thread>
Alternatively Love Actually followed by Die Hard so that Alan Rickman pays for betraying Emma Thompson.
Why do they call you Hedgehog?
Anyway, Elf
Not done Die Hard for quite a few years, that’s now on the menu.
Serendipity – watch it pretty much every year – sometimes not even at Christmas. Netflix says it's 'swoonworthy'.
Anna and the Apocalypse
A zombie invasion during a high school musical at Christmas. All those things should add up to something terrible but its a great little movie.
Not done Die Hard for quite a few years, that’s now on the menu.
Marvellous. With its central theme of keep the faith, it’s basically a modern miracle on 34th street.
Bad Santa, though my 85 year old mother was less keen. I suspect there were too many references to seeking entry via the tradesman's entrance.
Muppets Christmas Carol is not only the finest Christmas film ever made, it’s the finest film ever made, and I will fight to the death anyone who disagrees. 😃😃
It’s not Christmas until you’ve all sat down to watch Elf

We watched the Royle Family Christmas Special the other night. It’s scriptwriting genius! You can really appreciate just how good she was. So many laugh out loud lines. Well worth a viewing on Iplayer

It's a wonderful life.
Love Actually. (Sorry/not sorry)
Ah yes, sit down for two hours an pretend we have a decent prime minister.
National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation is our family's go-to Christmas film every year
Die Hard
Prep and Landing
Not particularly readily available to all but I watched Elf yesterday. Might go for home alone today.
Home Alone
Love Actually
It's a wonderful life - has to be on Xmas Eve though. We were watching it a few years ago now and as it transpired during the final scene - you know the one - coincided with the exact time of death for my Granny, who I was very close to.
Elf is fantastic, I also love Nightmare Before Christmas but I saw Arthur Christmas yesterday for the first time and loved it.
The real meaning of Christmas….
Man always cries at bit in Die Hard where cop rediscovers the magic of killing
Gremlins for me!
Father Ted Christmas special
Ah yes, sit down for two hours an pretend we have a decent prime minister.
Watched it the other night and said to MrsMC "How is it that Hugh Grant is still the best British prime minister of the 21st century?"
Futurama's Xmas Story episode is glorious, features John Goodman as a killer robot Santa IIRC.
Dunno where Futurama is screening now though? I was part-way through it on Prime when it stopped being included.
Father Ted Christmas special
+many
Also, the Bottom Xmas episode already mentioned, not least for 'Gold, Frankenstein and Grrr'. (Makes me giggle every time I see a wise man!)
If Die Hard is a Xmas film, why isn't Lethal Weapon ever mentioned in relation to Xmas? It starts with Jingle Bell Rock playing over the credits, and the first time you see Mel G is in a Xmas tree sales lot. There are Xmas references everywhere - it's much more Xmassy than Die Hard.
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation is our family’s go-to Christmas film every year
Same here. a significant part of our family lexicon comes from this film.
The scene with Chevy Chase opening the loft hatch makes me lose control of myself every time and I must have seen it at least 400 times. Every time.

Glad to hear it 2tyred as was wondering if we were the only ones
When they're are trekking out in the snow and Audrey is frozen from the waist down, Clark says "Its all part of the experience honey" which now gets used on all family occasions when things are going wrong
National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation for me too.
I might check out one or two others mentioned above.

"I don't KNOW, Margo!"
I think it is important to recognise that Home Alone is not only one of the best Christmas films, it is also one of the best movie ever made. Slapstick comedy, wide range of emotions, great acting, great music, no daft CGI or stunts, not hiding behind massive budget. It is everything that good cinema should be.
Nativity
If you’re watching with kids.
Better Christmas movies exist but you’d have to be pretty cold blooded for it not to put a smile on your face. Sequels aren’t so shabby either.
Cunk on Christmas
