And to think Slash did the intro as a laugh something to do with circus music.

Can't believe Smoke on the Water hasn't got a mention or another Blackmore tune "Man on the Silver Mountain" (which sounds suspiciously like the intro to Money for Nothing albeit a lot earlier)

My favourite is yet another one of Mr Blackmore's, Rainbows "Tarot Woman"

Hmmmm, difficult. I think the intro to 'Where The Streets Have No Name' does it for me, that ringing guitar sound that The Edge gets just makes my spine tingle.
[edit] Yep, just played the intro, and that organ, with the guitar coming in, then the drums with the bass just after...went all tingly listening to it. Never fails. [/edit]

1) Smells like teen spirit - Nirvanah - I fell asleep at the concert during the warm up at the Mayfair in Newcastle - cant believe it, but woke up in time to join in the big mosh when SMLTS came on.

2) Underworld - second best ever, at a push

3) I love the Booomtown Rats from my early years and any intro brings a smile to my face.

The Damned - New Rose

Or The [url=

😉

The intro to "Give Him a Great Big Kiss" is genius too:

I like the intro to "Stem" by DJ Shadow. For a while it was the default "anxiety music" used on programmes like 999 and Crimewatch.
