"Album artwork of the year"?
It looks like something Saddam would have had on his wall 😯
Yikes... I jjust listened to some on YouTube.... OUCH.... Must remember to turn my headphones down (maybe to 0). Not my bag, baby!!
Wont be popular with some here - But the Happy Hippie Miley Cyrus charity backyard sessions have utterly transformed a couple of long motorway journeys

Nice, not heard that before.
DId you hear this little gem...?
For me the best this year has probably been Band of Skulls - Himalaya.
Culture of Volume - East India Company
From Kinshasa - Mbongwona Star
Expanded(Live at The Barbican) - These New Puritans - OK 2014 but a favourite of mine for 2015

Well it is popular with me but i cant find it on itunes. Is it actually an album...? Or just on youtube?
eddiebaby - no idea, a CD just appeared in my car one day, but my daughter tells me she downloaded it here:

U2, The Joshua Tree.
I'm usually a late adopter...
Thanks Ninfan.
That will cheer up the hipsters at work today. 😈
Either Alabama Shakes or Tame Impala for me. Re-issue would be Van Morrison - His Band and the Street Choir. Just re-discovered his brilliance.
According to the Jate household jury (particularly the Jate juniors) it is Sufjan Stevens' "Carrie & Lowell".
I rather like the Courtney Barnett one too.
After a lot of thought, the one that really stands out for me this year is Everything Else Matters, by pinkshineyultrablast.
It's derivative, clearly owing a lot to the newly reformed Lush, but it's so well done, and live they're superb, top-notch musicianship, and chuffin' loud!
Really fell for these guys this year...
Saw HEALTH (above) in Bristol this year, incredible live band.
Kelly Jones - SheBANG for me... in all probability, probably the best pop album of the last decade..
Taylor Swift 1989
Or some band I hope most people won't have heard of.
Dollhouse Songs by Consumer Electronics.
Not everyone's cup of tea, but a real meeting of minds, brilliantly produced and executed perfectly.

can't post videos
Another vote for Grimes here. Ace record.

Taylor Swift 1989
A great choice but it came out in 2014
Tame Impala was awesome as was Jamie XX.
I'll throw Yours Dreamily by The Arcs into the pile.
Some good choices but everyone has missed Emotion by Carly Rae Jepsen.
No Carly, no party
Think my favorites are the chemical brothers, Frank Turner and public service broadcasting...
Psb just edge it as it really shouldn't work it should be horrible and pretentious, but it's actually quite magnificent.
Of Monsters and Men, Beneath the skin.
I just love it.
This is my favorite post of the year, always lots of great recommendations. Ghostpoet Shedding Skin for me
I like the Tame Impala album too but my favourite this year is Jamie XX. Also liked What Went Down by Foals.
Didn't buy many, but one I did and still quite liking:
Dumb Flesh by Blanck Mass
Listening to City And Colour now, great album...

@loddrik not 100% convinced that was released this year
And it was shit then and is still shit. 😆
Today anyway...
Kamasi Washington or Floating Points
Currently giving Kurt Vile ago, he used to be involved with The War On Drugs
Floating Points
Album of the year on a few sites I frequent.
