Wont be popular with some here - But the Happy Hippie Miley Cyrus charity backyard sessions have utterly transformed a couple of long motorway journeys

Not my bag, baby

I knew exactly what it would sound like before I listened. Unfortunately, it didn't surprise me. 😆

This for me (one of them anyway)

Either Alabama Shakes or Tame Impala for me. Re-issue would be Van Morrison - His Band and the Street Choir. Just re-discovered his brilliance.

According to the Jate household jury (particularly the Jate juniors) it is Sufjan Stevens' "Carrie & Lowell".
I rather like the Courtney Barnett one too.

After a lot of thought, the one that really stands out for me this year is Everything Else Matters, by pinkshineyultrablast.
It's derivative, clearly owing a lot to the newly reformed Lush, but it's so well done, and live they're superb, top-notch musicianship, and chuffin' loud!

Dollhouse Songs by Consumer Electronics.

Not everyone's cup of tea, but a real meeting of minds, brilliantly produced and executed perfectly.

Think my favorites are the chemical brothers, Frank Turner and public service broadcasting...
Psb just edge it as it really shouldn't work it should be horrible and pretentious, but it's actually quite magnificent.
