Had a Fab and a Feast yesterday on account of the heat.

Fab was ok but the Feast was a disappointment maybe your tastes change.

I remember King Kong (I think) from years ago. They were great.

Ah...Funny Feet. I remember them well! 😀

Feasts used to be:

...in Ireland. 😯

Currently, I'm a big fan of and can't ever wait to get my mouth around the Swedish X-Pop. Currently awaiting the next box.

Fab, Zoom, Cider Lolly & Calipo, not necessarily in that order.

But they're all eclipsed by a proper double 99 with red juice on it.

what about these hideous bags of luminous awfulness?
my teeth hurt at the thought of them, but they were cheap (5p?) and that's all that mattered.

Feast or Fab used to be my favourites....

I then skirted a brief obsession with Calipo (they seemed good vfm)

Currently love a Tangle Twister although not as easy to find as they used to be (seem to be more Magnum style things these days).....

Cherry Brandy ice Lolly from the ice cream van was always a good one too.

My kids would live off them in this heat.

Always reminds me of the Peter Kaye line when people are moaning about it being too hot...

"Shut the **** up, and have a Calippo!"

😆

Good memories of scoffing lots of these when i was younger.

These. No idea what the stuff in the middle is, some sort of chocolate scented wax but they're still amazing.

I just love sucking on these. The stick is chewing gum and they taste amazing. I've only seen them in Germany and Austria.

Feasts would be ace if the centre was actually chocolate. But it's actually made from pure disappointment.

Twisters have been a consistent favourite from childhood until now. Refreshing, delicious and still pretty cheap.

There must be a space in the market for a Magnum-sized Feast with real chocolate.

Otherwise, Maxibons.

Past - mini milk

Present - mini milk

A man of simple tastes, I make up for their lack of size by eating 3 at a time.

Past - Cider lollies

Current - Del Monte orange ones.

Made with real juice, relatively low calorie as frozen treats go, and they count towards your 5 a day. Triple winner ice cream dinner.

I'd never heard of the maxibon challenge until now . . .

I don't think I'd be able to do it though, which end do you start with for optimal speed scoffing?

currently working my way through the local corner shop's stock of Solero Mojito, with real Rum. Lime pulp centre is particularly nice.

[img] [/img]

As for the classics, it was Mr Men Lollies for my bro and I as they were the cheapest 🙁

I've just had an R. Whites' lemonade lolly. It was very nice.

Jubblies are good but you need a shaped charge to get into them!

Toffee Crumble without doubt the greatest ice lolly ever created.
New Black Espresso Magnums are also awesome.

5p lollies as the pudding in a lunchtime dining extravaganza of KP salt+vinegar nuts, can of Ben Shaws and said lolly from the Dixons ice cream van that parked in the school grounds (NOT outside) at lunchtime. Jamie Oliver would get the $#1t$ about that!

If I find a van that can't afford the walls stuff and they stock zzapp lollies, I'm in for 3.

Tangle twisters used to be tongue twisters and were a damn sight tastier when they were, made of the sweet slurry as funny feet.

That mojito solero, need. 😯

Off the back of this thread I nipped to the shop and mainlined a magnum express and a solero mojito in quick succession.

Not disappointed.
