You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
I’m currently a Viewranger refugee at Outdooractive. Which is “ok”
I’m eyeing up Fatmap as much for the gradient/avalanche slope features as anything else. Both OSM and OS mapping appears to be clearly readable on my device and the price is neither here nor there. I’m completely disinterested in any of the additional guff these Apps seem to have about suggested routes etc.
Any reason not to swap over?
Just in case someone thinks to suggest Komoot, my position on Komoot is I despise it with every fibre of my soul. (This may be a dramatisation, but I’m definitely not a fan)
I think you can get a free trial for a week or 2? I did back in the summer, it was good for Switzerland as I didn’t have anything else to use. The 3D view was excellent for visualising what we were about to ride.
I only used it for 2 days though so I’m not much use for a proper review.
Our free version is still working, great for some of the European trails. We pay for Trailforks and Komoot and also have various other free apps. Depending where we are some work a lot better than others.
We have found over the last 12 months that new trails aren't showing on Trailforks but can understand why
I'd stick with OA and I was massively sceptical (and pissed off) when VR sold out, but I'm a convert. It has a couple of issues, but loads better than Komoot (utter garbage) or the official OS app.

To expand on what piemonster said...above is an email I got from Strava (the day after I cancelled my Strava subscription after they doubled the cost...)
I've got the same email, so seems to be a send-to-all message.
I ended up with OS Maps as it was cheap for the year. Fatmap was the other one I was going to look at but didn't as I paid for the year sub with the other.
Meh. Komoot is great.
