Done. But would be intreagued to know the reason for one question and about the project it relates to.

Seems like a wasted opportunity to collect more data while you have someone’s attention to be honest.

How come you aren’t asking why?

I answered no.

Is it because I have one, or because I hate them?

Worst stealth ad ever.

As above, answered no simply because I already have a fatbike. I’m interested in why you should want to know?

I also would have answered no, because I have a fatbike, but I'm over 50 so I didn't answer at all.

Well, that was indeed a comprehensive survey worthy of a second year degree course.

(No, already have one.)

I answered no because I think people look ridiculous riding them, but I'm actually kinda curious so if I won the lottery I'd probably buy one and ride it once, or probably try one if any of my friends had one, and then buy one if I liked it, so the answer isn't really zero, but now I'm definitely not going to buy one because I don't want to look indecisive.

We're not going to get any response to this from the OP are we? I just looked at his profile, this is his only forum activity. I really should think to look at that before I respond to these surveys, fair enough if it's a regualar, even if asking for a friend, but if they are just here for the data, **** 'em.

Our project brief from the university was: design a fat-bike for males aged 35-50 for warm summer conditions. I have already had a really helpful response from Sonder bikes. I was not expecting this post to get this much attention and with some hindsight I can now see that we could have gotten a lot more market research, so I am now going to write up a new survey with a few more questions.

Thanks for all the comments so far, they have been really helpful. Link to the new survey is here, should only take a couple of minutes https://forms.gle/tY57LCsED1MXLXgc7. Thanks to anyone who fills this one in!

I was sent here by my dad who is a regular and said that STW is the fount of all knowledge about MTBing and the world in general 🙂

With that level of insight you should move into politics.

Why the upper age limit? Why summer use only?

For the type of riding I do the fatbike is more a winter bike because the less risk of cutting up trails!

One persons 50 is anothers 20. But as a young student I can see why you rekon anyone over 50 is probably close to dead.
