I have a thing on gumtree for sale (this is not a stealth ad). Got a text about 'would i rent it out' and suggesting Fat Lama.
Anyone used it. Looks like gumtree but for lending - with all the usual caveats I guess?
Never seen that site before. I'll hazard a guess that the text came from Fat Lama. Not looked to deep into T&C's What happens if your item gets lost, broken or they dont return it.
Yes, I wondered if it might be them. Can't decide if that's clever marketing, downright cheeky or both.
I'm working on the basis that I could afford to lose the item concerned, but just not sure I can do with the hassle. Gumtree and ebay are bad enough - at least there's only one transaction there.
Well some further research in an idle moment has put me off. Apparently the very same text has been received by a considerable number of reviewers...
Got to admire the brass neck I suppose.
Now; your suggestions for time-wasting replies to the text please.
"Re: [item redacted]. Any chance I could rent this? Could do it insured through fatlama.com .. Excuse odd request 🙂 "
