Was in BK at the weekend for the boy's birthday. On the odd occasion I go to these places I'm struck by the sheer amount of waste produced and the lack of recycling.
In days gone by this might have been acceptable but given that our domestic waste has to be separated into 4 or 5 separate containers (not a problem) it seems a bit odd that restaurants can still just dump the lot in skip
Why such different rules for homes and businesses? I don't get it.
As many of the customers can't use a bin for landfill a recycling one may be a step too far?
In all seriousness we recycle everything we can at home but any public recycling bin in the street / airport / fast food joint is always has such more communication on it that I invariably put the wrong thing in the wrong bin, only realising afterwards.
