My dear wife wants a big chunky woolly jumper. In her words, 'something that will make me look like a 1970's hiker'.
Unfortunately, she's allergic to wool.
Surely these days there must be stuff made out of 'alternative' fabrics that might fit the bill though. Like bamboo or hemp or whatever. Any ideas? Where might i find such stuff?

Mango do a nice 'Oversize sweater' (light heather grey) in acrylic (can't get link to work). Or cotton? Maybe try googling some combination of cotton/aran/fisherman/cableknit jumpers?
