Say you woke up tomorrow with all the skill and everything else you needed to perform for any professional sports team. What sport would it be and which team? Why?

Take account of the sport, but also consider the lifestyle it would entail, if you want.

I am having a hard time choosing between ice hockey's Toronto Maple Leafs and UCI's Quick Step Floors.

To play in goal for one of Canada's great, historic hockey teams would be amazing, and you would be treated like a rock star, however I also love the potential for introverted excellence in professional cycling, and QS is big enough to proffer some of the luxuries of the best teams, without moving into the big commercial teams like SKY and Movistar.

Number 9 at Newcastle United

Although I used to love football growing up, I have little interest now. Having said that, if pressed, I would still say that I love Newcastle United.

Good question

1981/2 Spurs next to Glenn Hoddle and Ossie.... I'd happily be the mid field runabout collecting the ball for these two.... and due to it being the 80's I'd still have a life outside football and would be able to have a pint or two.

Corner back for 1985 Chicago Bears.... The NFL's best ever defense and defense wins championships baby.

A track and field, swimming or cycling member of Team GB 2012.... To be at the centre of that atmosphere.... Heady days... As it happens going to the Olympic park tomorrow with the kids. .... Will have an imaginary reenactment 🙂

Driver 1 at Ferrari F1

Idolised by a nation, racing for the team with the most history, decent company car (one would imagine), and XXX million a year. They aren't doing too bad that the moment either.

And party like James Hunt

if we're allowed time travelling then the early 90's Chicago Bulls.

If no time travelling allowed and it doesn't have to be a team then the pro surfing circuit.

If no time traveling and it has to be a team (harsh rules) i'd go for pro cycling and Mitchelton–Scott. Big enough of a team that they seem well organised and competitive but not so big that they've taken all the fun out of the sport.
