I'll start...
Boba Fett - Tarantino
This film HAS to be made for the lolz
Rogue Trooper - Steven Speilberg
1066 - Michael Bay
Crikey, I was just thining about a Boba Fett film last night after seeing a post on Twitter asking which Star Wars spin-off people would like to see.
Tarantino would be good, but maybe not the best person for it. True, soething in the style of Inglorious Baterds would work really well (maybe adapted from Tales of the Bouty Hunters?).
How about the Len Wiseman (of recent Total Recall reboot fame) doing the same thing? Soemthing in the gritty style of that would work well.
I only found out the background of the boba fett character recently. Seemingly the costume was an early design for darth vader before vader was re-written as more of wizard like character. That's why he kept cropping up in the early films without really having much to say or do, it was an excuse to use the cool costume.
Discworld series - Pixar
Fifty Shades of Grey, Krzysztof Kie?lowski
bit highbrow maybe. also he's dead.
Chapeau doffed at mattjevans 😀
Blood Meridian directed by the Coen Brothers, or maybe even Guillermo del Toro.
Vurt by Jeff Noon, directed by Joe Cornish.
thanks IanMunro.
FTW, here's the promotional poster
More than anything I want to see Guillermo Del Toro pick At The Mountains Of Madness back up. If there's anyone out there who can do credit to the Cthulhu mythos, it's Del Toro, nobody does weird and creepy quite like he does.
CountZero big + 1 to that.
Takeshi Kovacs (Altered Carbon) - Dir. by Christopher Nolan.
count zero +1
the Moon is a Harsh Mistress by Darren Arronofsky
the Blade Itself by David Lynch edit Nolan might be better actually
Lynch could do Revelation Space instead
Actually David Lynch would be a good shout for Blood Meridian
Kubrick would have had a ball with the Culture.
How about Sergio Leone doing Legend by David Gemmell?
Would have been fun. Brian Blessed as Druss?!?
Zenith (2000ad) made by Nolan, written by Alex Garland.
Quite like to see Tarantino take on some sci-fi, how about some trashy Stainless Steel Rat type stuff?
And just for kicks, Luhrmann to reboot The Wizard of Oz.
