Afternoon everyone. We have 4 sim only mobile contracts for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Each one is £10 a month for c£10gb of data with giffgaff. They've been a bit stupid failing to turn on a sim card and I was just checking if there are more straightforward options?

Ideally i'd like one contract, one bill, one data allowance thats shared, and maybe a bit less. Any solutions? I can't be the first to have done this. Thanks

I have just done as you. All are capped, so I know I'm not going to get a big bill. All on DD so it's a once a month check.

From memory, BT do it, but the cost was laughable compared to Plusnet and ID that we use now.

I've got this with BT, I pay about £10 per month for each of five phones, get 12gb of data per phone but this is not shared, each is individually capped. I've got pretty good control over spend caps, blocking numbers, usage reports etc. Price was discounted through also have Broadband with them. Currently got unlimited data across all phones due to wife working for NHS< its one of their COVID thingies to help the hero's...

My main frustration is that every data plan has to be the same, If we raise or lower data for one it has to be for all

Not sure you would want to share your data allowance unless each individual still had a cap to prevent them accidentally or otherwise using all the family data!

I asked this recently and EE came up as the best option for us - you have to have separate accounts which you can then 'co-ordinate' via their family sharing, though it's not quite as straightforward as that seems - its difficult to find info on exactly how to do it on their website, and the links don't always work. You can transfer data though from the main account.

We have multiple smarty lines all managed through my main account. You get 10% discount as part of the setup but they are still billed individually and would take some effort to get them on the same day let alone the same bill.
I don't think you will get much of a saving if going to a single bill for multiple lines unless you are part of a business.

Multiple accounts with Tesco here (using O2 network), grouped as a family. Each account gets a family perk, i.e. more data, money off etc. I get to decide who gets what 🙂

EE works well:

1 x sim only unlimited data plan £25
3 x call and text only sims @ £9 each

Then gift up to 33Gb of data to each of the 3 x calls and data sims.

I have a business account (Ltd company) with Three that all the family phones are on.
That was the cheapest when I last looked into it.
And yes I do pay for it out of post tax income.

SKY, all the way! Moved from Tesco a couple of years ago. Same O2 carrier but the pooled data is amazing, especially during lockdown as it infinitely rolls over meaning that on 5 sims ranging from £6 a month to £10 a month I have something like 300gb of data rolled over. I just roll it to family in 5gb chunks if they ask.

Another recommendation for Tesco. Can fault them.

Another vote for Sky here. I'm paying £18 a month at the mo for 4x 2Gb contracts all on one bill, was on 4x 3Gb (£6 each but with a big cashback deal so was more like £2 a month) the first year but had over 100Gb banked after 12months so dropped to 2Gb (£4.50 a month) to start making use of it and save money. Easy to roll data onto any SIM, and every drop of unused data seems to get banked (initially thought it was only going to be any whole 1Gb chunks, but it seems all unused rolls over). Calls and texts are unlimited btw.
