Hi,
We're hoping to take the kids away for a few nights in August too London.

Any recommendations for nice hotels with family rooms?

Thanks
Chris

Depending on age of kids and definition of 'nice', but we've stayed at the London Blackfriars Premier Inn quite a few times with 2 x young kids. Fairly roomy as far as Premier Inn family rooms go, but it's more the location that works for us. Tesco Metro on the corner, lots of eateries close by, and easy walking and transport links to elsewhere.

The Travelodge at Covent Garden is pretty good for a Travelodge and the location can't be beaten.

I booked the London Southwark (Tate Modern) Premier Inn for a mates stag do. Wasn't too sure at the time of booking, but it was great.
Close to Southwark tube & plenty to see & do in the local area. It was an area of London I'd never visited & I would like to go back for a bit more of a mooch around, to be honest.

Aim for Travelodge/Premier Inn type places. Size of room isn't important, you'll hardly be there. Last time we went we managed to find a really nice 2-bed AirBnB about 5 mins from Tower Bridge which was cheaper than any hotel.

Just back from staying at Premier Inn - Southwark Station. Great location, loads to see and do within walking distance and great travel connections if you're needing to get around.

We have always stayed at the Heathrow (Bath Road I think) Premier Inn. Staff are amazing; you can sit for hours watching planes coming in to land (eldest fazzini jnr sat out the back for hours doing just that); buses and tubes into London add to the adventure etc. Plus its always been cheaper than the ones in the centre.

Splendid location, great for the money and near The Harp.

+1, and the family rooms are a decent size too as its a fairly old build (I book them when I'm staying there with work sometimes, as they're not much more and there's enough floorspace to have a proper stretch etc.).

Thanks for the recommendations. We've booked at the Southwark PI as it fits the bill.
Cheers
