Gonna be a Falcon Heavy launch tomorrow night sometime after around 2200. This is the funky big thing using three boosters that SpaceX launched last year with the car on board. Only this time it'll have real cargo. All three boosters will be landed back at the Cape and on the docking boat.
Looking forward to this (and the release of the first images of a black hole too tomorrow). Hoping it goes smoothly. Loved the double landing from the previous heavy test launch 👌
I love this stuff that SpaceX are doing; it feels, as an outsider, like a Buster Gonad approach to risk that's actually paying off. More of this please, world 🙂
Don't know if you have seen this? but put the headphones on turn the volume right up and skip to the launch and then the boosters landing.
Launch window starts at 2235 GMT which is 2335 BST
That video is awesome! What a sound.
Launch now 8:00 p.m. EDT...01:00 here 🤞
Launch delayed until tomorrow evening due to wind shear.
Bugger. Just been looking at the clock with 1hr to go.
Delayed?
Pffft...
Cowboys. The Sick! Bikes of the aeronautical world.
My brother in law and family are on their way to fly out to Florida right now for a holidau, I'd told him to wish for bad weather yesterday as he might get to see the launch if it's delayed. Jammy jammy barstewards!!!
