Help me Singletrack!

We need some fairy lights that don't flash. They are to be installed permanently around a pan rack on the kitchen ceiling and they can't have multiple modes.

We want them to come on and stay on without any flashing or such nonsense.

Searches so far have drawn a blank. Does such a thing exist?

I wanted similar (albeit just as Christmas lights) and ended up with multi mode ones which have solid as the first option, so always come on and stay non flashing.

Got them from the garden centre rather than online so I vould check the mode sequence.

I have a set of the copper wire ones that come on at the last setting when you switch them on at the plug. You have to use the remote to change the setting between 1 of the 250 options.....

Not that I know where they came from.so not especially helpful .....but some of the multimode ones your discounting may be suitable ....

I'm sitting underneath some now. They just do on/off no drama. I think they're from Wilko.

Whoop!

Argos have them! Clearance, so collection only but not local.

£7 for the lights and £10 fuel

I’ve had a set around my kitchen window for years, in fact I’m on my second set, they’ve been turned on permanently so that coming home in the dark, or going down to the kitchen in the dark means not needing to turn lights on. They’re Wilco lights, and I don’t think they even have a flashing option, certainly I plugged them in and left them as continuous lights. It also helps that having nobody in the house for twelve hours a day in the winter the lights show through the glass front door panel, so it looks like the house is occupied. I have a little IKEA desk light that used to use a 12v halogen bulb, but I found LED replacements so I leave that on all day during the winter in the living room, minimal running costs, and a degree of extra security with an empty house now.

Sounds like the sort of thing I'd use Alexa for... 😁

Many of them have multiple options, with flash in different modes but probably also a steady mode.

At least with the option of flash when you have a party it can add to the atmosphere. Many at a party tend to congregate in the kitchen.

Got some.

The issue is that that they will come on with a light switch, but the "Stop ****ing Flashing Button" is 8ft up in the air inside a pan rack, so not having to stand on a chair every time we switch them on is a bit of a deal breaker.

Come on now Harry, join the 21st century. We've got remote controls now 😆 😉

Remote controlled fairy lights? Can you get remote controlled watering cans whilst I'm at it?

I think LED strip lights might be the correct solution...
