Great chieftain o the puddin'-race!

Tonight's the night, who's haggising? And what you having with it?

In a break from tradition, we're having braised red cabbage and possibly roast spuds.

Already had our village "Alternative Burns Night" ceilidh last Friday (when the band is cheaper!).

Was a cracking night - though I suspect some may frown at the haggis supper from the local chippy 😀

Hurt my arm this morning and had to go to hospital for an x-ray, as I was sitting waiting to be seen, the lad next to me says," Fair fae yer honest sonsie face Great chieftain o' the puddin race" I was like, eh?!?!., I turned my head round to the the lady sat on my other side, she said, " ! Wee, sleekit, cow'rin, tim'rous beastie, O, what a panic's in thy breastie!" , As I grabbed the next doc walking past I said, "here mate is this the psychiatric ward?" He says," no this is the burns unit                                                                                                              Happy burns day

Crap, I forgot. I'm at a work do tonight so could miss the annual Gray family burns supper.

Which is basically an excuse for us to have haggis and whiskey, the most Scottish thing about us is a love of drinking and I've got a vaguely scottish sounding name.

No plans for this evening but I do have haggis fairly regularly.

And Scotch.
