Team Bullheart apparently have a group with instructions about what we are meant to be doing this weekend. My wife has given me a quick lesson in Facebook and I have found the Team Bullheart event. Is this the same as the group? Is there something else I need to find?

Facebook has 'groups' and 'events'. You can 'join' a group, you can 'attend' an event. You may need an invite from a member of the group or event organiser, depends if they are listed as public. There should a blue button to say join or attend, if there isn't then it might be private and you need an invite.
eg Team Bullheart MM 2011 here is a public event.
There is a button that says 'i'm attending' which you can click, although I don't think you'll get any extra info, just emails when things happen

You can request to join the group by clicking 'ask to join group' for emails and rights to post on the wall, etc
