10 - 12 weeks for me, 8 weeks were in plaster so couldn't. Next few weeks were a combination of bit sore and lost bottle.

Then got back on bike and forgot what all the fuss had been about.

depends quite a bit on the fracture and the detail of the surgery.

i was in plaster 7weeks from break, how long after that till you can ride is very personal, dont bother asking the doctor, or the physio, they dont know and will just guess. if you want guesses....

3mths.

Did exactly the same thing last Sunday.. front washout to face / wrist plant.... now have suspected scaphoid fracture.
What tyres are best for breaking your wrist?

It's quicker if you have some metalwork put in. I rode (uncomfortably) after four weeks with a plate and four screws...

i dislocated, fractured my wrist a few years back and was off the bike for 8 weeks, then first few rides were sore and a bit tentative, physio's might be torturers but it helped in the long run.

Technically I kept fit with a turbo trainer doing intervals, but this is only advisable if you know they will be replacing your cast every few weeks other wise the it gets a bit wiffy! thank fully they did for me and I got a different colour each time!
