Hamilton to do Vettel at the start and Webber to take the opportunity to punt Seb off at turn one to wipe the cocky smile off his face.
Petrov to finnish 4th and spoil Alonso's day.

This race has all the makings of being a classic.

Lets hope it's not a classic let down.

Vettel to scamper off, chased by Hamilton, Webber's KERS plays up & Button gains a place, Massa will yeild to Alonso by stopping for a nice cup of tea on the apex of turn 4, Heidfeld will stuff the start & Petrov will be another thorn in the side of Alonso, who will whine about it over the radio for 56 laps.

Piquet had the seatbelt off and was getting out of the car before it had stopped! Class. 🙂

STWers to bitch and whine about Alonso as usual, and favour the drivers from English speaking countries as having some dirty Johnny Foreigner winning just isn't cricket.... 🙄

Because that's what happened for 19 races last season.

Just out of interest; why the support for Webber, when he's clearly not as good a driver as several others (and that includes yer Kubicas, Sutils, Rosbergs as well as the top 4)?

I mean, Button is second to Hamilton, but not by such a long way, and most people seem to favour Lewis.

Is it the mountain biking thing, cos Fernando rides one too...

May the best mayn win, is all I can say really. Just hope it's an exciting race, not a procession like F1 can be all too often.

Johnny Foreigner for who? Always supported the diminutive Asturian me! 😉

Finding issues where they don't exist again?

I think you'll find loads of support on here for the likes of Kubica, Rosberg & even Schumacher - wind yer neck in before yer head unscrews

Oh come on; the bitching has already started on this very thread! Have a read!

People love to slag off Alonso, or 'Finger Boy' Vettel on here. It's like they're at a pantomime and need a villain to boo at...

Far from 'finding issues', I was merely making a prediction as to what may well happen on this very forum tomorrow. I'm simply basing this on F1 threads gone by. It's a bit like how Science works, you know; you take evidence from previous events to create a theory as to what could happen.

Wind me neck in? Your head's already fallded off, by the sound of things... 😉

X

To me it doesn't matter where a driver comes from

It just happens to be that Alonso is a whiny toys out of the pram kind of brilliant driver

Alonso isn't the only driver who gets a bit whiny when it's not going his way, he just seems to do it more often than others IMHO

anyhoo, I have a bottle of Old Pulteney to savour, rather than discussing the same old discussion about certain drivers again & again.

PS Webber is a bit shit, but he'd still outdrive anyone on here, well except Surf Mat.

Has anyone ever seen Alsonso & Surf Mat in the same room at the same time eh, there's a thought.

(and that includes yer Kubicas, Sutils, Rosbergs as well as the top 4)?

i could drive better than Kubica atm

still whatever happens Elfin will get to show off that massive chip he carries round and feed his need to wreck every decent thread on ST

There's always plenty of bitching but to say it's always against non-English speakers is just plain wrong and looking for some sort of xenophobia under every bed
There's been more bitching about Hamilton than any other driver IIRC

Fred, your wrong, just admit it! I would rather that the fine quintessentially British playboy chap beat that load mouthed toon any day.*

*I have already dug my shelter & its lined with concrete, so as MC Hammer would say, you can't touch this. Plus Hamilton's father is a complete {swear avoidment}

🙂

I beg your pardon? I do not understand such a bizarre concept...

I'd love to see some proper battling between Hammo, Vettel and Alonso this season. Like when you used to get Mansell, Piquet, Prost and Senna fighting. Alonso and Schuey was good fun too.

F1 needs rivalries. But it's a good thing those drivers respect each other a lot more than we do, or there'd be proper carnage.

Such a pity Kubica's not there. Just when the Renault's looking good, too. 🙁

I predict a dry start, but the heavens will open just after all the drivers on soft tyres have made their first stop. All hell will break loose and someone random from a midpack team will luck into a podium finish - perez? Di resta?

I then predict that some people will get their knickers in a twist about why people like/dislike certain drivers/teams. And then someone will say that moto gp is betterer.

Yep, latest forecast is for rain near the start, I predict carnage if its wet into the first corner (but I hope not)

I hope Jenson has a clean race too.

More to the point, didn't Surf-Mat flounce off round about the same time as Old Stig outed himself and Top Gear needed a new one?

What a load of old tosh.

Watch World Superbikes or Moto GP if you want to see racing.

if on the other hand you like to see a nice procession, watch Formula 1. Don't get me wrong, the technology in F1 is amazing, it just makes for dull races, unless its wet.

Is it the mountain biking thing, cos Fernando rides one too

Alonso rides a bike, Webber goes mountain biking (and off-road running and kayaking, and has his own event which combines all of those).

Good race that! Plenty of excitement. No surprise for the winner; fastest car, fantastic driver, but what happened to Hamilton? Some brilliant blocking of Alonso, but then was so slow. Fernando must be kicking himself to lose his front wing, cos he would easily have had 3rd, and possibly pushed Button for 2nd too. But at least we got to see a bit of battling between two top class drivers. More of the same please lads! And Kobayashi and Schuey! Nice to see some passion on the track again.

God alone knows how those Renaults managed to make such brilliant starts; proper mixed it up at the front. Good drive from Webber to get back into it, lucky he's got a fast car. 😉

Petrov will be a bit sore after that, I'd imagine. 3, 4 feet off the ground?? 😯

Looking forward to some rain in some races this year. That'll be fun....
