Hi,
I'm about to downsize my laptop probably to some sort of netbook with not much space (Flash storage) so I need an external harddrive.
What do you recommend? I don't want to have to plug it in and it needs to be fast and it needs to be 1TB and it needs to be reliable and last many many many years.

if you're not planning on carting about with you everywhere you go, have a look into a network attached one, so you can sit plugged in your router at home and then connect via wireless wherever you're sat at home.
