Will you keep it when you are back at work??

Week six of working from home (I think...I kinda lost track of time) without a shave. Gone through the itchy phase but now I'm having problems drinking! The bloody liquid keeps dropping down my chin and lips no longer provide a suitable seal 🤔

Trim the tache or wax it.

I've kept shaved, let it go a couple of days but it's itchy as hell, so off it comes. Loads at work have grown them and look a mess. Too much maintenance.

I am on week 6 of beard growing and I have also gone through the itchy phase, but now I am going through the tickly phase!

Invest in some decent scissors to trim the whiskers that go down over your top lip.

This is the first time in 49 years that I have grown a beard and I am quite pleased with it. It won't win any beard competitions, but I like it, ha ha!

Same here. Definitely getting eaisier with length although I succumbed to trimming the tash part to keep hair out my mouth.

Was all set for keeping it but I've noticed people treating me differently. Queued outside halfords for an hour to buy a new chain, sales women said 'It's 24.99' looking sheepish, I said OK, and she repeated 'THATS 25 POUNDS. Are you sure?' Then in the corner shop fumbling for change for some bread and milk someone offered to pay for it.

Admittedly I was wearing bike the oily bike fettling gear, but it doesnt't bode well to have the hobo look nailed so easily.

I’m around 5 weeks in, think I’m just leaving the itchy. By chance I’ve already got a wee trimmer thing so using that to keep the ‘tache and mech beard in check.

So far, the missus likes it, I’m not totally sold. It is definitely ginger....

Could be a problem going back to work if you need to wear a mask.

Other way round here. I’ve had a beard for at least the last decade, and have had to go clean shaven since about 3 weeks ago when we all got fitted for FFP3 masks for work. Managed to keep some big old Elvis sideys but otherwise it’s all gone. Might stick with it for a while 🤷🏻‍♂️

Its more the ping of your top lip getting snagged in the ringpull - damn the new fangled beers in funny little cans.

Gave up on shaving 2 weeks ago when I had a week off so just coming through the itchy phase. First time I've let it grow wild for a number of years, usually when I'm laid up after falling off the bike a bit too vigorously, kinda liking it this time as it's grown a lot less patchy. Beard trimmer ordered yesterday so I can keep it tidy as it grows.

Being made furlough in the 18th and it's confirmed until the end of June at least (work is actually being mothballed!) so it's going to grow until I get back to work. Then I'll decide whether to keep it or not.

Never grown a tache until lockdown. After a week or so I realised it prevents you blowing sweat out of your eyes on the turbo.

I've sported a rather fetching beard for the last 12 years or so. The Mohawk however caused quite a stir at work when I turned up this Monday 😀

Finding combing it quite a relaxing passtime.

8 weeks in with a beard, did do a 4 week one at the beginning of the year.
Sadly this one has a bit more of the white Badger in than last time, though people keep saying it suits me?
It's the moustache bit that can be a bit odd when drinking well pretty much anything, oh and brushing your teeth and the toothpaste foam on the top lip.

How I think I look

How I probably look

Is that Neil Fallon from Clutch?

Lockdown is wasted on me as I’m already bald and bearded. Might grow out the eyebrows and nasal hair for a bit.

I had to cut my year long beard last month after coming home from the workshop high as a kite and drunk as a skunk. I thought I would trim a few loose hairs using the large kitchen scissors. I woke the next day and saw in the mirror that I had some weird Amish thing going on; long sides, short chin. I removed it that evening after the lads took the piss.

I’ve been beardless four times in about twenty five years. Each time has been when I’ve decided I’ll save some cash and trim it myself 😕
