Hi guys i am based in horner (TA248HY) and am running up lifts. This could be up the road with a short ride then to the highest point on Exmoor- Dunkery Beacon, can pick up and drop anywhere around the local area including the pub.

If you haven't sampled the delights before you will probably need a local guide or coach to get the best from the area which can be arranged.

Bike washing facilities down at the farm as well as B&B rooms and secure bike storage. Drying room is in construction but can dry gear in house by the wood burner.

On FB search Exmoor Uplift

or www.horner-farm.co.uk

Take it easy

Good luck Mark, Holly and Fergus. It looks like you are at the start of a journey that is very similar to the one we started on almost 18 years ago (We had no goats but did have Red Devon cattle and a meat box scheme 🙂 ). If I can find the time I would love to come down and stay. I have fond memories of a long ride around your area which still ranks as one of the best days on a MTB ever. I really wish you all the best with your future endeavours.

Just clicked the link as I'm local and had to do a double take when I got to the team members part!!

Hope it all goes well for you, I don't usually mind hills but might have to be lazy and use that service at some point.

Wow! Thanks for facilitating a great day riding on Saturday Mark!

The numbers are in...

I rode 40km, tackled 2200m of descending, assisted by your uplifts which accounted for more than half of the climbing. It truly was a great day.

I don't mind climbing, and have done rides on the Quantocks with more than 2000m of climb and descend, but you saved of 16km in distance which meant I had more energy for enjoying the fantastic selection of downhill trails available.

Sorry no photos to share, but memories to last a lifetime.

I will be back!
