Like a lot of people I use these new credit score apps, Clearscore etc. I know the data is meaningless generally but I still like to watch it go up and down 🙂

One thing I've noticed is that there is account still listed as 'active' that was closed in the spring? I thought it might take a while to drop off, but it was updated earlier this month. And other closed accounts have dropped off pretty quickly.

Virgin mobile.

What’s the question?

The data the credit companies will be dependant on what VM tell them about the account, or otherwise.
Not sure on VM, but they may be holding the account as 'open' for a while until things like all the bills are reconciled, equipment returned etc.

But if you want to take it up, you will need to take it up with VM to explain why they are reporting the account as open to the CRA's

Takes a while to remove old stuff - 6 years for previous addresses, missed payment, closed accounts.

To me they're interesting but relatively useless - as they don't manage to tie account names together - all but one of these score apps manage to not register or be able to register - my credit card in a slightly different name.
