Ive had bronchitis for the last month, second time this year.
I feel a lot better although there is still some residual 'gunk' on my lungs. I rode for the first time in a month on Saturday & just been out again tonight - should I be waiting til its completely clear because not riding is doing my sodding head in!

Had the same over winter. Combination of dusty workshop, smoking and riding through the city traffic in cold and damp conconditions.
Seems to have cleared up mostly now.
Rode up with some random kid today, surprised me how hard it was for me to breathe.
Need to take it easy for a bit... Gentle climbs for now so I can better control my breathing.

I think you really know the answer to this..... in my experience (not a doctor etc, etc) then trying to exercise with a lung infection just makes it last longer. Is this doctor diagnosed bronchitis? As surprised they haven't given you things to help...

Well OK, not doctor diagnosed but it certainly fits the symptoms though.
Had a word with the occupational health nurse & she said it sounds like it & that there is a virus in the wider community.

EDIT: ive still been working & cycling to work the last month so its not like I've not been exercising anyway. I'm a machinist so I'm on my feet all day anyway.
