Does anyone have anything they can recommend that allows you to program your own HIIT (or other) workouts?
I just want to be able to program a simple routine to display in big clear letters the name of the exercise I'm doing and a visual of a timer running out (a bar or circle or countdown). Doesn't necessarily need any more complexity. Would be nice if it allows colours to be associated with particular exercises or rest breaks or set number, etc.
Ideally cross platform so I could run on a Linux, but Android or Windows would also work.
I like that a web site named “fit at mid life” gives you the chance to increase the font size of the timer 👓
Wahoo Runfit, and 7 Minute Workout (used to be wahoo i think before wahoo app did its own thing) both very similar.
Both virtually same.
No need for Tickr if using the Wahoo although it helps to count reps if bothered.
EDIT: seems Wahoo have stopped Runfit App now so ignore that.
There are loads of apps on Android - I use HIIT Interval Training Timer, it allows you to save routines and reload them. It's very basic, but good for simple gym use.
Thanks will check these out.
Several years ago I could have coded something together myself without too much effort. Dare say I could now if I had time to refresh myself in the ways, but pretty much given that kind of thing up other than simple shell scripts.
