Just spent a couple of nights near Dalbeatie complex with my kids in the new Bothy at Gorsebank. (the timber tent place).They have great facilities for bikers, a hire shop, great showers and good secure parking.
The bothy is in a converted old farm building, done to a really high standard with log burners and comfy bunk beds, it makes an excellent base for exploring the Seven Stanes as well as enjoying the coast, my youngest, had a great first experience of the trails and came back buzzing.
The owner is a real character, rides bikes and has a Caterham sports car tucked away too!

I stayed in a wigwam there last summer and enjoyed it, I am looking to go with family next weekend but shared showers and bog is a dealbreaker.
If you go to the 7Stanes Facebook page they are running a comp for a couple of nights stay 😀
Lucky for me it is one of my local trails 😆
