Morning all, does anyone know if you can specify multiple header rows in Excel tables (actual defined tables, not just spreadsheet data). Also can you get these header rows to be read in as data 'type' into power Querys?
I think I'm going to be encouraged to move from Spotfire to PowerBI so I'm trying to get a bit more proficient with all of the new (to me) Excel data handling tools.
Thanks
Mat
I don’t think so. Isn’t type normally an attribute of the column. I.e date, integer etc.
I may be wrong. Excel is a huge app and you may well be able to add multiple header rows / configure custom types.
Not 100% but I'll stick my neck out and say there's no way of having dual headers in a table object.
For the Power Query bit I think you'd have to transpose, merge & re-transpose to create a single header from the 2 (if that's what you meant?)
