I can't figure this one out.
I have a column of data that is the flow rates from a spirits still. We were aiming to have a flow rate of 60ml/min.
It varied quite a lot from that, so I'd like to use the conditional formatting function to highlight that with the colour scales.
I can see how to do it in comparison to the average, but 60 ml/min wasn't the average.
Here is the column of data if it helps?
37.916
46.126
49.188
46.667
53.820
61.039
70.588
70.588
36.970
35.758
54.545
49.856
45.167
42.735
41.380
if you highlight the range of cells, on the top ribbon there is 'conditional formatting' you can select an option for less than which if you set at 58? and pick red, you can pick between so pick 58.1 - 62 and set to green? then pick to greater than option and set as >62.1??
You should get the options for less than, less than or equal, matches, greater than etc etc in the drop down
Second column to subtract value from 60 then use that to scale your cells colour.
Ah yes, I maybe didn't explain properly
I was looking to have the colours graduated the further they varied from the 60 value, as it does if you select "colour scales"
