I'm trying to make a Gnatt chart - a project management type horizontl bar chart showing time taken to complete a task.
I've used a template from the internet but am stuck on two aspects.
1) the chart begins at a random date. It should be the value of c3, but it bloody isn't
2) there is a random 'P' in the middle of the sheet. I can't delete it.
Can any of you excel gurus help?

For number one the data of your gantt chart only goes to C4, change it to C3 (Chart Design -> Chart Data). Excel being tricky it doesn't select C3 unless you tell it to start at C3 😉
On a mac I can't see the P
there is no P there - it is because you are viewing it as Print Preview.
Go to View tab and click Normal (top left) rather than Page Break Preview
there is an error in where Start Date in Number Form points to
change the number format of that cell in each sheet and then have the other dates point to that as appropriate
Ah, yes. The 'P' was for Page Break Preview!
Even with 'start date in number form set to =c3 and the format changed to date, the chart, for some reason, begin at 7/25/16
