Sorry to disappoint but our Evri driver is hands-down the BEST courier we get round here; reliable, friendly AND he seems to be the only one who knows what a doorbell is.
As you were. 😎
To restore balance, my evri courier has decided to say i have refused delivery whilst parked outside. No attempt to deliver just return parcel to sender. I am now out of pocket with a parcel lost somewhere.
Sorry to disappoint you but MY Evri driver is hands-down the best courier we get around here. To be fair they're all decent for us: Evri, DPD, Royal Mail, Parcelforce, even the Amazon folk are decent. They always deliver...
All our delivery bods are great.
Same here. The old boy who drops my Evri deliveries round is superb. Will leave them on the doorstep for me.
(In other news Evri have "teamed up" with Royal Mail so that Post Offices are drop off points now (maybe collection too?) )
I have one great one and one shit one. Unfortunately the shit one always seems to get the valuable stuff.
I noticed that they’re much more pro-active from a customer service point of view now. Emails from what seems like a real person (although maybe it’s one of the GPT models) giving me updates on their hunt for my parcel.
Our Evri driver is great - he's almost one of the family now! The same can't be said of the clowns in the depot who substituted a Wiggle package of running kit with someone's probiotic dietary supplements.
We seem to have changed Evri drivers recently. The old one was nice enough, but her car got more and more battered every time I saw it (and eventually gained an entirely new front end in a different colour to the rest of the car) and I always winced at her driving. New guy has a van and seems to be able to avoid hitting everything so that feels like an upgrade to me.
Nope, pretty sure our Ervi guy is the best. But then, he did go to school with my wife and he’s scared of her, so that probably helps.
Yeah, that’s what she tells you.
Ours is great too. In fact all consultant delivery engineers/operatives to our house are superb, including Royal Mail.
Certainly no issues with amy of our delivery drivers, and god knows we give them enough chances to cock up.
Any delivery here is a lottery. Evri hit a new low today tho. Dumped a parcel in the meter cupboard at the bottom of the stairs and left no note. Just downright lazy and useless
Royal mail / parcel force are the best. Evri the worst.
My evri driver Colin is also great. How he manages to get my parcels over the locked gate and near my side door is mystifying 🤔
Our Evri ladies are great.
I ship a few hundred items a year by evri, tbh my experience is that they're better than most couriers. Probably a lot of items are slightly late, but the number of actual problems is low. And my delivery guy's great. Also if you send a parcel that's overweight they'll send you an invoice for the difference but if you just don't pay it, you'll never hear from them again, which is nice.
Main criticism is the customer service, especially the blodoy terrible chatbot loop-machine that's designed to piss you off. If they do lose a parcel they make you go through hoops to make a claim and then just settle it instantly, every time, it's really obviously just a "put the person off" process. I think like a lot of companies they realised during covid that people would accept a much lower level of customer service than they thought, and so they've just never bothered to raise it back up to pre-covid standards?
I had an evri driver that repeatedly delivered to random houses relatively* close by.

* I live in the countryside miles from anyone
I eventually recorded a parcel as lost as couldn't be arsed to go looking for it and gave 0 star feedback. The next two evri parcels from two different companies were 'lost' at the distribution warehouse. I definitely felt punished. I now have them all click and collect to a shop near my work instead.
Current one around us mostly sends pictures of our neighbours houses saying he can't find us whilst 20m away in a village. This is undermined by occasionally getting one launched into the front garden so now in the habit of checking the greenery.
Everyone else just uses the log shed.
I got an email saying (expensive) package delivered. Looked outside and nothing. Phoned JLP expressing my fury at being 6ft away from the front door and not even a knock down ginger. Apparently they're not contracted to knock. Anyway, later that night my lovely next-door neighbour said 'Oh, I picked up your parcel off the step.' The parcel was small enough to go through the letter box.
Our current Evri lady is great, but I doubt they make much money as she gets driven round by her (presumably) husband and struggles a bit with the tech - possibly enough to top up their pensions I guess. Previous ones have been very good too but then we do live in a very easy to find very easy to stop and drop off road, which I'm sure makes a big difference to all the couriers.
