My Rab Latok is starting to delaminate around the mouth/neck, I'm assuming this is because it's one of the few places that touches bare skin and from what I understand it's greases and oils that cause eVent to degrade. I've had the Jacket 5 years now and I've warn it quite a lot in that time (walking to work, days in the hills etc...) so I've had a fair use from it. It still works fairly well, it's not as if the rain pours in, it just gets a little damp around the face, which I just often put down to condensation anyway.

Just wondering if there's anything I can do to restore it? send it away to be reapired etc... Also is this a typical life span for eVent? I've washed it no where near the recommended every use, more like once or twice a year. I thought the washing was more to restore breathability rather than prolong life. Any thoughts on how better to look after it (or a replacement) in future? or is that just how it is?

5 years of good use? A fair innings.

Bin/gardening jacket.
