Afternoon all,
Looking ahead to brighter times and trying to be organised for once! Myself and the other half and our 8 year old daughter are looking to go on holiday in Europe for a week July/August time!
Was looking for recommendations/past experiences on where people have been that offer a variety of;
-Adventure (walking, sight seeing)
- Nearby city to explore and eat/shop at (Bonus Zoo?)
- Beach within reasonable distance as a bonus?
Any recommendations welcome, got a blank canvas currently and willing to to leg work with flights and places to stay!
Cheers,
P

Depends what you mean by "adventure" really.
Barcelona. Plenty of countryside/hills inland. City and beaches.
Nice and the surrounds. Ditto.
Anything really, just the ability to get away from the City and go walking, exploring, sight seeing old buildings etc!
Cheers.
Malaga is a pleasant old city. Close to the beach and not far from some good hills for walking; a short trip either by car or train will get you into some stunning countryside. Easy to get to as well as many of the budget airlines fly there.
I thought we already lived in Europe...
Anyway, I would say 'break the mould' and try the Black Forest. There is a gorgeous campsite near Alpirsbach that gives you easy access to Strasbourg, Freiburg, and even Bern for a day trip, as well as breathtaking hill and forest walks.
As for beaches, the campsite itself has a river running through it, so there is some fun to be had there.
