Planning next years euro jaunt and was wondering if anyone has applied for an extended stay visa and how was the process.

There isn't an extended holiday stay visa..90 days in 180. That's it.
There's longer work visa's, country by country.

You can apply for a six month stay in say France, but whether that gives you six month in Shengen I have no idea.
It's state by state apparently.
Yes but once you've got the French six month visa you can travel anywhere in Shengen with it according to this.
