Has anyone been away for a week or so with a toddler and able to recommend somewhere nice? As active a spot as possible!
Flying from Glasgow so a lot of places seem a bit epic to get to.
Thanks
A bit more info wouldn't be bad. Are you wanting to stay in a tent or a mobile caravan. Do you want mountains or sea? Do you want hot or cooler?
Camping le giffre in Samoens is nice and dead easy to get to from Geneva. Free entry into the local pool when you stay there as well.
When you say active though, do you mean biking, hiking, rafting etc, or kids clubs?
I deliberately didn't want to narrow things down, as it's all going to be a bit last minute and we'll be lucky to find space I think.
Kids clubs would be good so the wee man meets other kids properly. But I'd rather he got some outdoors in his system... watersports, fishing, beaches.
And a chalet/lodge/caravan would be first choice of accommodation.
Garda Lake. Nice weather lots to do sports wise both in the mountains and on water plus the campsites around the south west of the lakes are geared up for families. From Garda to Lazise. We have stayed here http://www.campingduparc.com/en/ a few times or https://www.camping-cisano.it/.

That is the eurocamp link but lots of operators go there. It is about 1hr from Charles de Gaule airport or 2hr 30m from the Eurotunnel/Ferries. Lots to do there - swimming pools, swimming lake with beach, fishing, canoes etc. it is about 1hr 15min from Eurodisney for a day out. Just got back from a week there and our three year old loved it. Lots of choices of caravns/chalets etc.
They all look really packed in on the site - I don't suppose there's any choices where the tent/chalet isn't 2 yards from the next one? 🙂
I believe you will find this site, situated in the French Alps, close to Grenoble, fits the bill. Up until last year, we camped annually with the children - including a number of toddlers - and this site remains one of their all-time favourites.
It has many activities, including kids clubs, and best of all, a river close by. Which, as it turned out, is where we spent 99% of our time.
We just went to a Eurocamp site in the south of france near Port Grimaud - they have locations all over Europe. It had pool, slides, stuff for little ones. We were also short walk to the beach. Accommodation was static caravan type stuff- also with various price points and sizes. We had a good time and they must have a location that suits you. Price was cheap for the basic caravan but prices do rocket in school holidays.
